Carolyne Koval Davis, JD, AEP, is an attorney in private practice in Dallas, Texas, where she concentrates in Title as a Fee Attorney for First American Title, and offers title insurance and escrow/closing services. Carolyne also has a 13 year background in estate planning [which includes wills & trusts, estate tax reduction, probate, asset protection, elder law, and incapacity planning].
She received her BA from Southern Methodist University [1988] and received her JD from the University of Houston Law Center [1991]. She is also an Accredited Estate Planner [AEP conferred by the National Association of Estate Planning Councils]. She is a member of the Texas Academy of Probate and Trust Lawyers, the College of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association [ABA], the Dallas Bar Association [DBA], both the Dallas and North Texas Estate Planning Councils, and the State Bar of Texas, and former member of the Houston Bar Association.
Carolyne also serves as a section member of the REO Professionals Group, Real Property, Probate & Trust Section of the ABA, and Probate, Trust & Estate Section of the DBA. She is a life member of The National Registry of Who's Who as published in the 2000 Millennium issue. She has presented various legal topics as a guest speaker at seminars throughout Texas and as heard on KLUV 98.7 radio's Community Corner [presentations and clients include those for Merrill Lynch, Dean Witter, Charles Schwab, Wells Fargo, American General, American Business Women's Association, Dallas Bar Association People's Law School, Royal Alliance, Fortis Insurance and various others].
Locally, Carolyne has served as a member of the Dallas Jr. League, Kappa Alpha Theta Dallas alumnae, Stonebriar Country Club and Prince of Peace Parish. She raises 4 children that includes a set of twin girls with her husband Matthew O. Davis.
Starla Dam
Vice President of Operations-Senior Escrow Officer
Starla is our office's Senior Escrow Officer and Lead Closer. She began her career in 1988 and proudly heads our Resale and REO divisions. Starla specializes not only in high-volume resale and default foreclosure sales, but holds tremendous experience in home equity, mortgage refinances, reverse mortgages, and new construction, as well as serving as a liason on our out of state transactions. Her focus is to provide personal and efficient customer service throughout your experience with our office.
Joanna Daniel
Escrow Officer-Final Policy Division
JoAnna started her career in mortgage and title in 2000. As an Escrow Officer and Notary Public, she is licensed to close and fund real estate loan transactions, escrow funds, and ship closing documents. JoAnna is tasked with resolving all post-close issues and ensures prompt delivery of Final Title Policies to Lenders and our respective Clients.
Matt Yon, Title Order Division
Matt has worked in the mortgage business since 1999. He is a specialist in processing title work and tax certificates through our office and tracking orders throughout the nation. He has developed critical relationships with various title plants located in the more rural areas of the State building a partnership to deliver the fastest turntimes available for our Lenders and clients. His experience and polite service helps to guarantee you quick and accurate title work.
Corina Rodriguez, Senior Escrow Assistant
Corina has been in the Title industry since 1998, working in-house with several Title Companies and Law Firms as an Escrow consultant. She supervises the curative area of our office and is a specialist in foreclosure and resale.
Amanda Irvine, Executive Assistant-Recording Desk
Amanda has been with the Law Office of Carolyne K. Davis, P.C. – First American Title since September 2008. She supervises all administrative duties and heads up our Recording division. In addition, she is legal assistant to Carolyne Davis and assists with our human resource department.
Kimberly Locke, Post-Closing Divison-Escrow Assistant
Kimberly comes to us with 9 years experience in the mortgage and title industry. She is responsible for all reporting requirements and our liason between First American and our clients regarding final title policy status and deliver. She also heads up our invoice department.
